Figleafing Through History: The dynamics of Dress

5.Comments:
1. I never wondered that people around the world actually match their hair or mantain their hair enough just to support the way they dress.
2. Europe also influenced Africans to dress in a tad of westerns clothing.
3. Clothings can tell a story, like the chineses robes and trousers. Example the dragon's robe which tell us the conquering of someone and the plain silk robe which demonstrates a scholar uniform.
4. Again some pictures and artifacts of them are nice to look at at. The clothing there symbols to who's the peasants and who is the popular highmen.
5. Next were some japanese robes and the warriors suits of the samurai's. Those were captions and pictures to explain them.

4.Questions:

1. How did the changes in clothing from once country be viewed by another's country?
2. How did the western suit and dark colors impact the africans? Was it also expand to the asian regigons?
3. How could women retreating the under demure of bonnets and limiting skirts be creatign the greatest seperation between males and females?
4.Was all this section happened around teh same time? Since many things are mentioned of each continents.

3.Vobaulary:
1. Brocades: A heavy fabric interwoven with a rich, raised design.
2. Breeches: Also called knee breeches. knee-length trousers, often having ornamental buckles or elaborate decoration at or near the bottoms, commonly worn by men and boys in the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries.
3. Parliament: the legislature of Great Britain, historically the assembly of the three estates, now composed of Lords Spiritual and Lords Temporal, forming together the House of Lords, and representatives of the counties, cities, boroughs, and universities, forming the House of Commons.

2.Literary Terms:
1. Symbol: Again with the clothing represent something as for the chinese robes. Then in London where the peasants and higher class dress differently and tells a story behide it.
2. Allusion: There were some reference to the african and england men for dressign differently.

1.Overview:
1. This Section was about the africans how they dressed. Then some detail pictures of the chinese robes. Also the segment of how hair revolves around the way people dress as well. Then some information of the english and the way they impact of the other location of the world.
