1.After she was picked up to come home fro mthe hospital. Not knowing, she hasn't been home for a few years. Ye Ye was home and there he gave her a lecture to be successful and going for her great future. She then also learned some news of Aunt Baba and her sister and brothers. But no long she returned to school. At school everything was back to normal. Until one day Adeline came across a flyer that was a writing competition. With doubts in her minds that she might lose she entered anyways.
2. After writing tons of letters to her parents, asking to allow her to study in England with her three brothers, she never recieved a letter from them. She continued and wrote a story of herself in a Afrian girl point of view. She sumbit the story to writing competition worldwide address. For many months they didn't response.

4. Unusual another year passed and her father one again ordered her home to find out she won het competition and was invited to go to England, happy she learned that father had planned for her. She was in the newspaper and how she brought honor to China. She fianlly felt the proud of her family.
5.The last few pages was a letter from Aunt Baba, tellign her all the support and thougths of missing Adeline. Knowing that she is still is Shanghai working. but also heard news of Adeline going to england. She told a stroy of the chinese cinderella. And told Adeline that she was that chinese cinderella.

2.So she never got to meet with Aunt Baba anymore?
3.What did Niang thought of Adeline going to England?
4.What happen to Adeline after arriving in Eng;and?

3.Vocabulary:

2.Exhortation: an utterance, discourse, or address conveying urgent advice or recommendations.
3.Promiently: standing out so as to be seen easily; conspicuous; particularly noticeable: Her eyes are her most prominent feature.

2. Literary terms:
1.Allsuion: (She uses many references =] ) As Aunt Baba retold the story of the Chinese Cinderella through the letter to Adeline that it was her. That she became a chinese cinderella who was unwanted but in the strive to succeed in her future.
2.Denoument: Adeline is able to attend a university in England and the ending of Aunt Baba's love and support.

1.Overview:
It's pretty long overview. So After beign sick and arrived hoem again. With a good talk to Ye Ye about her future and how she should keep longing to her goals. She also heard news of the rest of the family. then after returning to school she enters a writing competition. But after awhile after aknowlegding Ye Ye's death she became more depressed. Out of the air after months later, she was ordered home by her father. A suprise in her eyes, she had won the competition and was going to England with her brother. The memior ends in a letter she recieved from Aunt Baba still longing to see her and wished her the best. As Aunt Baba told her a story of a chinese Cinderella she compared her to Adeline as a cinderella. Addressing her as "My Chinese Cinderella" . Where I thought that became the title of her memior.

THOUGHTS:
I loved this book! it was very touching at time I also feel and suffer the thigns she been through. It hurts to know that your own family doesn't want you. I can feel it in her writing, she was really describtive about it. Adeline used literary terms but most of them were never simile or metaphore. It mostly imagery and allusions refering her life to something else. The ending was fantastic. I loved how she uses Aunt Baba's letter to contrast everything together and ended with a great title for the book.
